The ideal candidate should be able to handle packages with care, have a proficiency in basic computer tasks, and be prepared to lift heavy items when required.
The primary focus of this role is the accurate receiving and labeling of incoming packages.
Key Requirements:
Proficiency in basic math.
Familiarity with standard computer applications.
Ability to consistently lift items weighing up to 50 pounds.
Capacity to adapt and assist in various roles within the shipping department.
Valid driver's license.
Ability to operate a forklift.
Principal Duties and
Responsibilities:
Receive all incoming deliveries, ensuring that packages are accurately labeled and logged.
Assist the shipping department by packing products effectively to prevent damage during transport.
Use computer systems to track, log, and process shipments and deliveries.
Serve as a backup for the shipping department, stepping in and taking over responsibilities as and when required.
Help in maintaining inventory.
Keep the workspace organized and devoid of unnecessary clutter.
Perform routine cleaning tasks to ensure a safe and tidy working environment.
Construct custom pallets and crates as needed.
Drive company vehicles occasionally.
Carry out any other duties as assigned by the management.
